ROW DTLA Christmas Market
What It Takes to Build a City-Scale Holiday Experience (Without It Feeling Temporary)
Behind the scenes of the Los Angeles Christmas Market at ROW DTLA and what large-scale seasonal events really require.
Seasonal events look effortless when they’re done right. But behind every immersive holiday experience is a complex web of logistics, infrastructure, and precision timing.
For the 2024 Los Angeles Christmas Market at ROW DTLA, Hundred House supported a European-style open-air experience spanning nearly a month, welcoming thousands of guests each day. The scope was substantial: more than 150 food and retail vendors, 12,000+ square feet of tenting, and over 8,000 feet of festive lighting, all installed within an active urban environment.
What made this project unique wasn’t just its size, but it was its duration and density. The build had to support nightly crowds, shifting weather, vendor turnover, and consistent guest flow, while maintaining a cohesive, high-quality look throughout the event.
Our role extended far beyond rentals. We worked closely with the production team to plan layouts, manage power distribution, coordinate structures, and ensure that every element—from vendor tents to lighting runs—was designed for both durability and atmosphere.
Projects like this reflect what we’ve grown into as Hundred House. Formerly A1 Party Rentals, our new name reflects the scale, infrastructure, and long-term thinking required to support events that live in the public eye for weeks—not hours.
